Cruise scrapbook

Posted by Rebecca on June 22, 2008

I’m also looking forward to scrapbooking about our upcoming cruise.

Has anyone out there ever scrapbooked about a cruise? What are the pages/moments/events/memories that I “must include”?

Even if you don’t scrapbook but have been on a cruise, you could share with me your fondest memories or memories you don’t want to forget…

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

“Moments of a Lifetime” scrapbook

Posted by Rebecca on June 22, 2008

I’ve recently gotten involved in scrapbooking. (I’d also like to learn to quilt if anyone has the patience to teach me…)

Anyway, I wanted to share the page ideas with you all for my most recent book. (It’s a 12×12.)

If you think I’m forgetting any important pages, please feel free to offer your opinion.

P1. Title Page: Moments of a Lifetime w/ inspiration for the book, “When an old man dies, a library burns.” (I don’t want my library to burn…)

P2/P3. Birth (to include copy of birth certificate, ultra sound, Mom’s story vs. Dad’s story, etc.)

P4/P5. 1984 (what was going on in the world and such) and the meaning/origin of my name

P6/P7. Birthstone/Zodiac

P8/P9. Mom/Dad

P10/P11. Grandparents W***/Grandparents W*****

P12/P13. Susan/Michael

P14/P15. Monica/Megan G*****

P16/P17. Illinois/Houses

P18/P19. Preschool graduation (’cause I have pictures)/schools

P20/P21. Girl Scouts/Grandma Melba’s cookie receipe

P22/P23. Alabama/Houses

P24/P25. schools/”Sweet 16″

P26/P27. Sparkman High/UAH

P28/P29. cars (Contour, broken Contour, Grand Prix)/broken bones

P30/P31. Whiskers/Spirit, Sadie, Tiger

P32/P33. “Dream Job”/jobs

P34/P35. The Little Mermaid/Chicago Cubs

P36/P37. Jason Dyer/2008

The rest of the pages I thought I might do some straight-up journaling. I’m looking to “The Book of Me” by Angie Pedersen and “All About Me” by Philipp Keel for inspiration.

This is a big undertaking… especially since I have “perfectionist” tendencies. I’m very excited though.

Things to look forward to…

Posted by Rebecca on June 22, 2008

I’ve always wanted a countdown ticker, but I’ve never had a reason or a place to put them.

I promise not to go ticker crazy…!

Jason and Rebecca, along with Jason’s parents, leave out of Nashville (to San Juan, Puerto Rico)

on April 26, 2009

for a 7-day cruise through the southern Caribbean on board the Caribbean Princess.

Ports of Call to include:

San Juan, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Tortola, St. Thomas, and San Juan once again.

It’s been a long time coming!

Rebecca will graduate

on May 9, 2009

with a Bachelor’s in Engineering

(civil engineering) from

The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

The original plan was to turn this blog into primarily a “planning diary” for the upcoming wedding

on May 15, 2010.

As of this writing, the engagement has not been made public yet.

Neither of us have told our parents (long story), but hopefully that is in the near future.

Jason will graduate from ITT-Technical Institute (Nashville campus) sometime mid-2010

with an Associate of Applied Science degree.

(I put in July 1, 2010 just because I wanted him to have a ticker too…)
